Enjoy your Cape Cod Vacation at our cottage in this
quiet seaside neighborhood. We have a path to our private beach on Waquoit Bay that we share with several other homes. Have your coffee on our beach or cocktails in the open air on our rooftop deck overlooking the ocean bay. The sunsets are quite delightful. On a clear night, you can even see the lights on Martha's Vineyard over Nantucket Sound.
Seconsett Island is surrounded by salt water and accessible by car over a causeway. (A causeway is an elevated road built over a body of water or wetland)...See the "Aerial view" of the island below. We are not located in a development, but on one of the peninsula
islands in Mashpee.
For a day at the beach you have several options, including our small beach. Walk to a larger neighborhood beach right on the causeway, or take a short drive South Cape Beach State Park; no highway travel is necessary to get there. Since we are on one of the southernmost points of Cape Cod, the water is exceptionally warm, yet still refreshing. After a day at the beach, rinse off the sand in the outside
(hot water) shower, a Cape Cod tradition.
Walk along the causeway for an up-close look at the nesting osprey; or perhaps you will be fortunate to see one of our resident great blue herons. This restful sanctuary by the sea is off the beaten path, yet so close to so many activities and attractions.
Our yard is completely fenced in, giving you privacy and seclusion, so important for a relaxing vacation. The interior of our 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage is bright, clean and sunny. The dining room opens onto the ground level deck, allowing dining inside or out. For your convenience, all linens are provided for bedrooms and bath, the kitchen is completely stocked with most of what you will need for cooking
and wrapping or storing your food. Your main concern for your vacation will be your clothes and food - we've made the rest easy for you!

If you have kayaks or can borrow or rent them for your stay, there is plenty of room to store them in the yard. If you have a small boat on a trailer, we can give you several options for storing the trailer for your visit. There are several public boat ramps nearby, and yes, there are fish in the bay! For the adventurous, Martha's Vineyard is about 4 1/2 miles away by boat.
Golf courses and bike trails are plentiful, and shopping is easily accessible at the open air Mashpee Commons (minutes away), as well as Falmouth and Hyannis. We also have a wireless internet connection.
Seconsett Island is charming; drive across the
causeway and you will be at this cottage on the bay.
